The first Miss & Mrs Cross Continent event in Dublin showed how a pageant can combine cultural diversity, leadership and practical community education.
Twenty-four women from seven countries participated in the programme, which was attended by approximately 450 guests at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre.
Organised by Miss & Mrs Cross Continent Events Ltd. and sponsored by Broccoli Care Ltd., the programme was developed in collaboration with The Truth About Drugs Ireland.
Drug education formed an important part of the event, with guided exhibition tours introducing visitors to information about commonly used drugs. Many of the contestants studied Truth About Drugs materials in advance, and several completed the full series of fourteen online news eu vote courses.
The Mayor of South Dublin praised the contestants for using their public platform to promote informed choices and stronger communities.
Guests enjoyed performances representing Irish, Indian and Indonesian traditions throughout the afternoon.
At the end of the competition, Niveditha Vudayagiri was named Miss Cross Continent 2026. Fortunate Lindokuhle Masina and Yuki Yuliatin completed the top three as first and second runners-up.
The pageant showed that public events can celebrate talent and diversity while also addressing important social concerns. Further background appears in the article covering the Dublin pageant promoting culture, leadership and drug awareness.
